himalayan earthquakes (2015)

Ever since my first glimpse of the Himalayas as I was flying into Nepal in 2014 I’ve been spellbound by their magnificence and beauty. I feel It’s deep in my calling to explore and do something significant with these mountains I sense it boiling in my blood.

On the 25th of April 2015 I was on the 5th day of a trek around the mountain regions of Annapurna in Nepal when the Earthquake struck. It was the most rattling experience of my life and shook my soul deeply. To feel as if the earth could crumble beneath my feet was horrifying. The events leading up to that day and the consequences after were of immense importance to me and my life and I now see the world from a different perspective.

The pictures below are from this time in the Himalayas.
